Running is my passion, it’s the way I relief stress, every kilometre is an accomplishment. I found myself joining cross country by a friend!! I give it a try, I do our usual 2km beginner training course in grade 8. I was struggling and wanted to give up! Using it to relief my stress and reflect. I started training everyday and soon we competed in races. Running in the rain, shine or cloud. Not giving up and believing I was capable.

Three years later, I’ve ran 11 half marathons in Vancouver, Seattle and North Vancouver! This year making it to BC Cross Country Championship and now I’m training to run a full 42km marathon!! I don’t believe my grade 8 self would’ve imagine I would run 24km let alone 11 half marathons! I want to thank my awesome cross country team for all the positive moments, all the struggles, all the cheers and all the support! Update: In 2023 I completed the BMO full marathon, running 42km's.

My coach Mr. Stokes for encouraging and pushing me to finish when I was at my lowest point after not training during covid. He was one of the main factor we all got these experiences, he drove us everywhere and teach us that we can do anything if we trained enough! There’s not enough words to explains the impact our amazing coach has done for us! Thank you Mr. Stokes and everyone who supported me. It’s a sweet heartfelt story I wanted to share that when you put in the effort, when you believe in yourself and put your mind to anything, anything can be accomplished!
